Transposition of European Directive on Insolvency postponed once again

In our newsletters of 20 January 2021 and 2 May 2022 we already discussed the European Directive on Insolvency, which is expected to revamp Belgian insolvency law. The deadline for transposition is 17 July 2022.

Belgium will not meet this deadline. Pending transposition of the directive, the interim measures introduced by the law of 21 March 2021, discussed in more detail in this newsletter of 22 March 2021, are extended once again.
