Four years of companies and associations code

A little over four years ago, on 1st May 2019, the new Companies and Associations Code entered into force. After four years of practice, one of the main deadlines of the transitional regime is approaching. 1st January 2020 already saw the “substantive” entry into force for companies under the old law; 1st January 2024 is the deadline for the "formal" entry into force. Many companies therefore will still have to amend their articles of association before the end of the calendar year. For certain companies, the consequences are more profound. For instance, the limited partnership with share capital, the cooperative company with unlimited liability, the agricultural company etc. cease to exist.
