Four years of CAC – The private company as a safety net for cooperative companies with limited liability: close your eyes and jump?

A little over four years ago, on 1st May 2019, the new Companies and Associations Code entered into force. After four years of practice, one of the main deadlines of the transitional rules is approaching. 1st January 2020 already saw the “substantive” entry into force for companies under the old law; 1st January 2024 is the deadline for the "formal" entry into force. This is also the expiry date of the "improper cooperative companies with limited liability" established under the old Companies Code.
