Geert De Buyzer discusses the costs of arbitration for AIA Brussels Arbitration School

In the second week of December, the Association for International Arbitration organised an intensive several-day course specifically addressed to an international public wishing to learn more about arbitration.

On 8 December 2015 Geert De Buyzer, head of the Arbitration, Mediation & ADR practice group, gave a presentation on the subject of “Costs of Arbitration”.

Arbitration has its own rules concerning the costs and the extent to which they can be recovered from the other party. During the presentation, a number of keys were offered for achieving an optimal result. Arbitration comes at a price, of course, but it doesn´t necessarily have to be expensive . . .
