Geert De Buyzer †

The death of Geert, our dear colleague and associate, on 8 November 2023 has left a great void at our firm. Geert was not just any colleague; he was a passionate lawyer, a tireless worker, a spirited advocate, a mentor and, above all, a friend.

His dedication to our clients and firm is admirable and remains an inspiration to us all. He was a master of 'commercial litigation' who fought heart and soul for the interests of our clients. The 'Geert touch' with which he managed to refine correspondence and conclusions, his sharp mind and determination brought numerous files to a successful conclusion.

Geert was a mentor to many of us. In doing so, he always generously shared his knowledge and experience and helped colleagues and trainees in their professional growth.

In addition, Geert was a friend, a listening ear and always available.

Geert lives on in our memories. We are grateful for what he has left us and will continue our work with the dedication, sense of justice and professionalism that characterised Geert.
