Geert De Buyzer discusses the costs of arbitration for AIA Brussels Arbitration School

Once again this year, the Association for International Arbitration organised an intensive multi-day course specifically focusing on an international public interested in acquiring a more in-depth understanding of arbitration.

On 18 October 2016, Geert De Buyzer - head of the Arbitration, Mediation & ADR practice group -  addressed the topic “Costs of Arbitration”.

Arbitration has its own rules concerning costs and the extent to which they can be recovered from the other party. During the presentation, a number “tips and tricks” were offered for achieving an optimal result. Arbitration comes at a price, of course, but it doesn´t necessarily have to be expensive.
