Schoups is organising, in collaboration with Randstad Construct and the Construction Confederation, a seminar on “Working with foreign subcontractors in the construction sector”

Private Construction Law

19 December 2014

Massive numbers of foreign subcontractors are used to work in the construction sector. The labour costs are generally attractive and the workers are often highly competent.

In such cases, it is of great importance that contractors pay the necessary attention to the social security-law and labour-law aspects of these sub-contracting arrangements. Not only must these aspects be taken into account when drawing up the subcontracting agreement, in practice it is also important to comply with the necessary procedures and keep an eye on the day-to-day dealing with the foreign employees. We wish to inform you about the practical consequences for your company during the seminar that Randstad Construct is organising on this subject in collaboration with experts from the Schoups law firm and the Construction Confederation on Tuesday, February 3rd in Mechelen.

Sara Cockx, a lawyer at Schoups and labour-law specialist who advises large and small companies in the building sector, will explain this theme in practical terms and focus on the consequences for your company. Elke Van Overwaele, manager of the legal department at the Construction Confederation, will speak about the subcontracting agreement. Finally, Jan Denys, an employment market specialist at Randstad, will discuss ´the job market in the construction sector: facts and problems´.

Registration can be done via www.randstad.be/rsvp with login construct030215.

You will automatically receive a confirmation e-mail.

We hope to welcome many of you!
