Can personal data be transferred freely to the US again?

Have you heard the breaking news? The European Commission on 10 July 2023 adopted a new adequacy decision for a ‘EU-US Data Privacy Framework’. In principle, such an adequacy decision means that the EU considers the level of data protection adequate, and allows the transfer of personal data from the EU to certain companies in de US.
