6 December 2016 – Gwen Bevers and Kristof Hectors spoke at the “Tax optimisation for real estate asset and share transactions” workshop

On Tuesday, 6 December 2016, Gwen Bevers and Kristof Hectors gave a presentation at the workshop on “Tax optimisation for real estate asset and share transactions” organised by Infotopics.

They discussed key points relating to the transfer of an immovable property and the transfer of shares in a real estate company.

For example, major issues from the civil-law, environment and urban development perspectives during the transfer of an immovable property were explained. When transferring a company, the importance, process and consequence of a due diligence investigation, the distinction for contractual guarantees in SPA’s and the enforceability of contractual warranties were some of the points discussed.
