Roel Meeus

Roel Meeus is a Counsel at Schoups.
He obtained his law degree at the KU Leuven in 2005 and is a member of the Dutch Brussels Bar. He also obtained a master's degree in environmental law (2006) and a separate course unite in law economics (2008) at the Ghent University. In 2013, he obtained his doctorate at the Ghent University with the thesis "The sanctioning by member states of infringements of European environmental law: between enforcement need and sanction obligations".
He joined the firm 2020 as Counsel, after having worked for Publius (Brussels) for almost 10 years.
Roel has extensive experience in litigation and advisory work. Roel is part of the Environmental Law practice group.
