On Tuesday, February 18th, Schoups organised a client seminar entitled "The Awarding of public procurement contracts". After an introduction by Marco Schoups, Kris Lemmens and Frederick Ongena from our Public Procurements practice group gave a brief and practice-oriented explanation about the awarding of public procurement contracts after 1 July 2013. The following 10 must knows were addressed: 1. Introduction: Entry into force of the new public procurement contracts legislation 2. (Sub)award criteria, method of evaluation: what has to be included in the specifications? 3. The (simplified) negotiated procedure 4. The competitive dialogue 5. Framework agreements 6. Variants 7. Options 8. Dividing the contract into lots and fixed / conditional parts 9. Abnormal prices 10.
