Increase in European notification thresholds for public contracts published from 1st January 2022

The latest changes to the European notification thresholds date as far back as 31 October 2019, and apply to publish contracts published from 1st January 2020 up to and including 31 December 2021. Once the estimated value of the public contracts reaches these thresholds, the contracting authority will be required to publish the public contract in question in the Official Journal of the European Union. In addition, the European thresholds also matter for the applicability of many provisions of Belgian public procurement regulations.
